DON'T???

TRAVEL BLOG

I know, I know it seems very counterintuitive; the very name of a travel blog should inspire people to get out there, see the world, explore... BUT what about all those experiences that maybe just didn't live up to all the hype? My goal here is not to be negative or judgemental of the destinations I go to or the experiences I have, but just to be, simply, honest. I'm all here for the positive vibes (ask anyone who knows me) I am definitely a glass half full type of gal, but I also strive to be as honest as I can (frankly to my own detriment most of the time). The Don't Travel Blog was born on a super exclusive, never heard of  sandy, white beach:  South Beach, Miami. Don't get me wrong my Miami trip was definitely unforgettable (a story for another time), but as I sat on that beach a thought occurred to me "Where the heck am I?!". Like I said, I ended up having an absolute blast, but I just wondered where the Miami I had researched and spent hours scouring travel blogs and Instagram profiles was? As my friends and I baked to a nice, toasty golden brown on that beach, we discussed: there should be a place where what you see is what you get, where sponsorships, brand deals, or aesthetics don't influence a destination's review... and with that I give you
